However you have to re read your user's guide to ensure the frequency of adding lubricating oil and the volume that you have to place. During the fall be sure to power off your cooling unit directly in the main switch. This is to prevent turning on the unit unintentionally. Another precaution that you have to follow to avoid destruction of the unit's compressor is turning it on only when the temperature reaches 18 degree Celsius for three consecutive days.

The interior unit is provided with filters that prevents the indoor debris from circulating. So it should be frequently cleaned or changed. Inspect frequently the lubricating oil of the motor. Do not let this to drain out. For a more detailed instruction on this you can refer to the user's guide that goes with the unit. Another safety measure that you should faithfully stick on is not turning on the cooling system unless the temperature rises above 18 degrees Celsius for three successive days. When summertime is up and winter season is approaching you should see to it that you shut off your air conditioning system right in the central power switch of the house. This is to avoid unintentional powering on of the unit since this can lead to the units break up. The issue on whether to cover the exterior condenser unit during this time obtained a split opinion from the HVAC (heating, ventilating and air-conditioning) technicians.
